UCCS IEEE Student Chapter (www.uccs.edu/~ieee/) is part of the national Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers which promotes the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electronics, information technologies, and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. Our club's purpose is to enable members' careers by fostering technological innovation, encourage students to take an active roll and promoting community worldwide.

In the 2007 college rankings edition of the US News & World Report, "America's Best Colleges," released Aug. 21, 2006 the magazine's editors ranked undergraduate engineering programs at UCCS seventh nationally among public universities that primarily offer bachelor's and master's degrees.

Rocky Mountain Robotics (www.rockymountainrobotics.com) is Academy School District 20’s FIRST robotics team, located in Colorado Springs. Our diverse team draws over 50 students from three high schools in the district. Our many mentors come from D-20 and the surrounding communities. 2010 Event Volunteers

A competition of this magnitude wouldn't work without the dedicated people handling planning, refereeing, judging, field reset, registration, team queuing, photography, scoring, set-up and tear-down. We're relying on over 80 friends, engineers, scientists, business people, teachers and parents volunteering their time to make this event a success. No one involved in the Southern Colorado FIRST LEGO League event, including the competition director, is compensated for their time and effort. The most they can expect is a free T-shirt and lunch.

Be sure to to thank your volunteers and don't forget to thank your coaches, teachers, mentors and parents!
