Sept 30:  Tournament Balancing

Teams!  You may have noticed that tournament registration has been suspended.  DON'T PANIC!  Registration will re-open soon!

Because of the tournament dates and locations, several teams have registered for the later tourneys, presumably thinking there will be more time to prepare and therefore a greater chance of advancement.  This has caused a huge overload in the Poudre, Thompson and Monarch tournaments, and a tremendous vacancy at Mines and Southern Colorado. 

Unfortunately, the Tournament Planning Committee does not have the option to host every team at Thompson and Poudre!  We have been working to balance the tournament registrations and you will be receiving the results of that balancing by Thursday. 

FLL Team registration will conclude "when all the slots are filled", and Colorado FLL tournament registration will continue until that time.  Balancing existing registrations will be finalized Wednesday night.  Primary considerations will be proximity and registration date.  Several teams will be moved from CSM to SoColo, several teams from Poudre to CSM.  Those who have not registered yet will be invited to attend the tournament closest to them with capacity.

Regarding the preparation time: no team at your tournament will have any greater number of hours or weeks to prepare for that tournament than your team will.  Every tournament will advance 20-25% of the teams.  If you go to an early tournament, no other team will have had any more time to prepare than you.  If you should advance, you'll have even more time to prepare for Championship!
