NEWS - Here's your Tournament!

and Thanks to DMNS for the 3rd Rookie Booster

Oct 5:  Tournament Assignments

Teams,

Thank you for your patience in the tournament balancing exercise.

You responded to our original assignments quite appropriately and we attempted to accommodate those who really couldn’t make the dates we had chosen. I’m very sorry if we couldn’t do that for your team..

As indicated earlier this week, you will receive a final acceptance letter from your tournament director for your team. Tournament directors will process all the current and pending registrations. If your team has not registered yet, TMS will be open for additional registrations soon.

The finalized Tournament Assignment list is posted here.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Oct 4:  Thank you, Denver Museum!

The 3rd Annual DMNS FLL Rookie Booster was a fabulous success!  Thanks to Jame Calder and the entire Museum staff that made this such a delightful experience for the third year in a row!  Special thanks to Andrea Pless for her insights into Climate Science and ideas about tackling the research project, and to Stephen and Steve Maraco and Ellery Goeltzenleuchter for Robot Programming and Design classes!

If you attended the booster, please send James Calder at the Museum a big thank-you, and let us know your feedback in the survey link you received by e-mail!

Sept 30: Tournament registrations...

are going like gangbusters!  It's great to have all of the teams participating, but we're going to need to rearrange some team selections ;-( .  Click here to read this important information for YOUR team!

Sept 26: Tournament Registrations are Still Open!

Click here for guidelines for choosing your tournament.  Colorado FLL reserves the reserves the option to request that you register your team at an alternate qualifier location to balance the tournament participation if necessary.

Remember: 25% of the teams from any qualifier WILL ADVANCE to Championship so you can be comfortable that your opportunities of advancement will not be altered by the qualifier you choose.

Sept 25: Judging Rubric and practice Score Sheet from FIRST available here

Can you register for more than one Qualifier?  How does that affect your selection for Championship?  Can you win another award?  Why shouldn't we register for more than one?  Check for answers here.

Sept 23: Monarch Qualifier beyond capacity!

We need to hold it down to around 24 teams!  If you haven't received your confirmation, it's because we're waiting to see what happens with CSM registrations.  I'm afraid we'll have to give preference to those teams within closest proximity to Louisville.

Sept 21: School of Mines Qualifier date change!

That's Correct!  Due to Barack Obama's surprise visit to CSM's Lockridge Arena on Sept 16, the Athletic schedules changed, changing the schedule for Lockridge, and subsequently changing the date of our Tournament.

THE NEW DATE FOR THE CSM QUALIFIER is Sunday, November 9th, 2008.  Teams already registered at Mines will receive an e-mail with instructions for how to change your registration if need be.

See the season tournament schedule here.

Sept 3: Jr.FLL Teams!

We know you are anxiously awaiting the start of the Junior FIRST LEGO League season! While we finish testing our new social site, we want to give you the opportunity to pre-register your team, as well as give you the ability to purchase the Jr.FLL Base Kit.

Go to this link and provide FIRST with your contact information. We will contact you when the site is ready and you are able to complete your registration.

Once you have filled in your pre-registration form, you will receive further instructions on how to purchase the Base Kit.

Thank you in advance for your patience and interest! As always, please contact jrfllteams "at" usfirst.org  with any further questions.
